Isabel Rei Sanmartim (1973) began his studies of guitar music with Antonio Rocha Álvarez in the High Conservatory of Music in Crunha. After, she has taken classes with few excellent guitarists, in special David Russell and Thomas Müller-Pering.

In 1995 Caixa Galicia had sponsor in Coruna her first recital. She is awarded in Ciclo de Jóvenes Intérpretes of Pedro Barrié de la Maza Foudation (Crunha), Concurso Internacional de Guitarra de Cantabria (Comillas), Concorso Internazionale di Chitarra Fernando Sor (Rome), Vila de Petrer (Alacant) and Andrés Segovia (Linares, Jaén) international guitar competitions.

She had performed in Udine Guitar Festival (Friuli, Italy) and Semana da Guitarra (Vigo), also in Via Stellae and Festigal (Compostela), Semana do Corpus (Lugo) and Colóquios da Lusofonia (Bragança). She teaches guitar in Compostela Professional School of Music, also she has recitals in Belgium, Germany, Italy, Portugal and Galiza.
